A Growing Community in Transylvania's Tech Hub

On April 29th, we organized the Blockchain Builders Meetup event by Comets of Web3 together with Eth Cluj, happening in Cluj-Napoca, at the Insomnia Bar.
We were thrilled about this event, because we had the opportunity to reconnect with our fellow builders from Transylvania (and not only) and enjoy a great time together.

Cluj-Napoca has rapidly become one of Romania's most vibrant blockchain ecosystems, and this meetup proved it. The 70 attendees represented the full spectrum of Web3 talent: technical founders building the next generation of dApps, developers working on Ethereum and other chains, business development professionals navigating partnerships, and marketing experts crafting narratives for blockchain projects. This diversity of skills and perspectives creates the kind of cross-functional networking that leads to real collaboration, not just business card exchanges.

For this meetup, 70 professional builders joined us, from different blockchain domains such as founders, developers, business developers, marketing experts and others.
This event was another occasion for our community's builders to meet, network, exchange contacts and valuable expertise in the tech and business domain.

Timing the Bull Run: Why This Topic Mattered

We also prepared another surprise, together with our friends from EthCluj, which was an hour-long panel.
Daiana, our Ecosystem Lead, together with Dani, from the WAM App and Cătălin from Eth Cluj spoke in front of our 70 builders about how to do Business Development for Blockchain Projects in the Bull Run context, followed up by a Q&A session.

The panel's focus on business development during a bull run wasn't chosen randomly. Bull markets present unique opportunities and challenges for blockchain projects, sudden influxes of attention, heightened competition for partnerships, and pressure to capitalize on momentum while building sustainable relationships. Daiana, Dani, and Catalin shared practical strategies: how to prioritize partnerships when opportunities multiply overnight, maintain authentic communication, and build foundations that survive market shifts.

The atmosphere was better than we expected, with people enjoying the networking and the panel, taking their time to express how much these meetups impact the connections in creating a growing Web3 Romanian Community.
